The CVO Academy is an educational project targeted to professionals working in the eCommerce Industry, comprising multiple courses and certifications in the eCommerce field. 

2. SCOPE

We process your personal data for the purpose of providing access to the CVO Academy Courses and sending related e-commerce commercial communications from the data controller and, if the case may be, from the relevant partners of the CVO Academy listed below.

The legal basis for this processing is the contract between you and us for Registering for the Summit (art 6 (1) b) from GDPR – EU Regulation no. 679/2016), your consent ((art 6 (1) a) from GDPR – EU Regulation no. 679/2016))  and the legitimate interest for B2B commercial communications (art 6 (1) f) from GDPR – EU Regulation no. 679/2016)

3. PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED

We collect personal data from you based on your quality as a business professional interested in the e Commerce subjects that the CVO Academy tackles.

For the purposes mentioned above, we just need your designated name (in order to address you in your email communication) and the email address that might be used to get information and participate in the CVO Academy and to receive the commercial communications.

If you will purchase the course and subsequently become a student of the CVO Academy, additional information may be stored, such as login info, your progress in the course, as well as commercial information needed to fulfill the purchase. Without them it would be impossible for us to offer you the CVO Academy services.

4. DATA RECIPIENTS

The personal data collected from the CVO Academy will be processed by Omniconvert staff engaged in organizing the CVO Academy and for sending commercial communications for Omniconvert.

As indicated above if you consented, your name and email may also be shared with the following Conference partners, so they may contact you with personalized offers or to subscribe to their own commercial communications:

 

You may opt out from commercial communications from Omniconvert by using the link in your confirmation of registration to the CVO Academy or in any email received from Omniconvert.

Please note that these conference partners mentioned above are individual data controllers, so it would be up to them to inform you how they use your personal data and obtain your consent or other legal basis for communicating with you.

At the same time, Omniconvert may use other IT companies to process the collected personal data. These companies are considered data processors and have strict contractual obligations to keep the confidentiality of the processed data and to offer at least the same level of security as Omniconvert. Data processors have the obligation not to allow third parties to process personal data on behalf of Omniconvert and to access, use and/or keep the data secure and confidential.

Omniconvert may use companies registered in the European Union or any other jurisdiction which offers adequate level of personal data protection according to European Union standards (art 45 GDPR) or other appropriate safeguards, including Standard Contractual Clauses (art 46.2 GDPR)... 

Due to confidentiality obligations and security requirements the specific information regarding the name and details for each processor used will be provided only to competent authorities.

The following types of data processors are being used:

  2. The Course platform eservice Thinkific.com

  3. e-Marketing services (including email marketing)

 

5. STORAGE PERIOD

The personal data collected is kept for the duration of the CVO Academy, plus one year after its ending, in order to be able to prove or defend any legal complaints on contractual issues.

The data used for commercial communication will be used until you opt-out from these communications or you don’t interact with our communications. 

6. YOUR RIGHTS

According to European Union applicable data protection legislation (GDPR), you have the right to access to data, rectification, erasure, restriction on processing, objection to processing and right to data portability. 

In the case when processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw it at any time.
